TMNT x Adidas Superstar

Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise receives a homage from adidas through a special footwear collection inspired by the iconic design of the adidas Superstar. While the franchise gained widespread recognition through its 2012-2017 TV series, its origins trace back to 1984 with a comic book series by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. This commemorative capsule includes a TMNT comic, unique toy-inspired packaging, and nostalgic references to the franchise integrated into the shoe design.

The inaugural release of the capsule features Raphael, the red turtle, prominently showcased on the Superstar silhouette. Red accents adorn the shoe's three stripes and masked lace dubrae, while pebbled green leather mimics the turtle's distinctive appearance. Departing from tradition, the shell toe incorporates hexagonal patterns reminiscent of a turtle shell. Delicate touches include debossed "SHELLTOE" text on the quarter and pizza-themed insoles, paying homage to the turtles' favorite food.

Available for purchase on March 22nd at adidas.com for $130, this initial release is expected to be followed by additional colorways representing the other members of the Ninja Turtles ensemble.
