GEL-Kayano 14 "Imperfection"

ASICS introduces a philosophical twist to footwear with its upcoming "Imperfection Pack," imbuing a sense of "wabi-sabi" into the designs—a collection that celebrates the allure of aging. Consisting of the GEL-Kayano 14, GEL-1090v2, GT-2160, and Japan S models, this capsule reflects the graceful evolution of clay pots, where natural wear and tear are embraced as a form of refinement.

Across these four silhouettes, deliberate design elements bring this concept to life: visible foams and cracked leather adorn the shoes, mirroring the weathering process, while the rugged, weathered strike logo repeated throughout the quartet echoes the gradual degradation of pottery exteriors. Shades of earthy browns, beiges, and blacks dominate most of the shoes, except for the ASICS Japan S model. Additionally, traditional mesh is replaced with artisanal canvas, enhancing the premium feel of the collection.
