Drawing inspiration from the iconic designs of '80s and '90s basketball shoes, the Onyx undergoes a contemporary reinterpretation by Axel Arigato's in-house design team, aiming to establish a modern cultural footwear emblem.

By melding elements from basketball and music subcultures, integral to the brand's identity, Axel Arigato forges the Onyx. This latest release encapsulates shapes, structures, and materials synonymous with these cultural movements. Crafted from premium semi-analine leather, mesh, lycra, and polyester, the Onyx boasts a broader profile and a thicker sole, epitomizing contemporary luxury sneaker design.

Key features of the Onyx include a rubber basketball ARIGATO graphic on the tongue and an EST.2014 branding at the heel. The sneaker's sole unit and lace side profile feature branded touchpoints, while a tongue lace eye-stay pays homage to classic basketball detailing.

Available in white/beige, white/green, white/maroon, and white/pink colorways for both men and women, the Onyx retails at $365. Scheduled for release on March 15, 2024, the Onyx will be available online at AxelArigato.com and at Axel Arigato retail locations.
